Say It Ain’t So Guys
By:Bill Bizeau
I hope their just rumors. I hope this is a plan to just get some attention brought back to college basketball. I hope…I hope they don’t kill the game!
If Kentucky and Indiana decide that they will not play next season, I for one will be quite upset!

The 2012 Kentucky Derby is just over two weeks away (May 5th) which means the Bluegrass State will be hungry for horse racing. So why not go ahead and toss out the current odds to win this years running?

I can't hide it anymore. For months I've avoided watching or really paying any attention to this sport. I would catch the basic headline news but I couldn't bring myself to really stick to it....
My confession....I love playoff hockey.

The baseball season is underway and just over a week into the season there's plenty to talk about. Here are my top three teams that have surprised me so far.
- The Florida Marlins are sitting at 5-6 so far on the season. If you would have told me before the season starts that I could put 100 bucks on any team to get to the world series, I would have had said throw it on the Marlins. At this point you would hope that Hanley Ramirez or Jose Reyes would be leading the way, but the star player has been Omar Infante. Their starting pitchers have recorded only two wins in the 10 games they have played.

Red’s veteran infielder Miguel Cairo was placed on the 15 day disabled list Tuesday for a strained left hamstring which prompted the Reds to call up the logical replacement in 26 year old Todd Frazier. Frazier is projected as a possible long term replacement for Scott Rolen at third base.

In what was a VERY anticipated Signing Day Day Special on ESPNU tonight, the world got to see the #1 AND #2 players for the 2012 class announce their college decisions and Nerlens Noel chose UK by cutting the university's logo in his awesome flat top! He is the number one ranked player in this class, right ahead of Shabazz Muhammad who decided to go with UCLA over the Cats, but getting one of the two was important and puts UK right in the mix of favorites to win the 2013 title and a possible chance at a repeat.
